Intimations – w/c 27th February 2022

1.     Our Sunday Service is held at 10.45am and is also available online live via YouTube with a recording available afterwards on the website, Twilio phone service (01294 444201) and podcasting channels. It is still necessary to reserve your seat in advance by contacting Mima McSwan on 01294 602410, and it is still equally important to let Mima know if your plans change and you will not be coming as there may be a waiting list for other folk wishing to attend. The midweek Thursday service continues at 10.30am with seat reservations still required. We also have a Sunday School available for any children present.

2.     The Pastoral Care Team would like to start a rota for transporting members of the congregation to/from church on a Sunday. To date, there has been a very low uptake to allow this initiative to happen. If anyone is willing to do this please add your name to the sheet in the vestibule, or speak to either Moira, Evelyn, Jennifer or Jean Hay.

3.     We are in the process of obtaining a carpet for the sanctuary. Several people have already expressed a wish to help with this purchase. Should you wish to do so please put your donation in an envelope marked ‘refurbishment’ and place it in the offering. It would also be beneficial to note on the envelope if you are eligible for gift aid. Many thanks once again for your generosity.

4.     Articles for the next Kirkgate Messenger are due by today please.

5.     The World Day of Prayer service will be held in Kirkgate on Friday 4th March at 2pm. It will also be streamed online via our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4ctiaOot5E

6.     The Craft Team meets on Tuesdays from 1-3pm.

7.     The Care and Share lunch run in conjunction with CHANA, is held in the hall every Friday from 12.30pm – 2pm.

8.     Next Sunday (6th March) and Thursday 10th March, we will be celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion at our morning and midweek services respectively. There will be a retiring offering next Sunday in aid of SAMS Angels – more details about the local charity which helps bereaved children can be found in the Church magazine.

9.     The Kirk Session will meet after the service on Sunday 13th March, in order that the accounts can be approved.
