Light up the world with prayer
Join us on Wednesday 1st June at 10am in St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, South Crescent Road, Ardrossan for a time of prayer. Refreshments will be available. More info at www.thykingdomcome.global
Beacon event:
Thursday 2nd June from 8.30pm – beacon to be lit at 9:45pm, Saltcoats Harbour. This is a free event and there will be lots of fun stuff happening at this celebration and across the country as part of the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations. Make sure your networks know that everyone is welcome. We will be offering a donation based soft drink stall. The money raised from this will go to the Ardrossan food bank.
Pop-up Cinema:
Friday, 3 June Doors Open at 6:15pm for 6:45pm Showing, Kirkgate Church, Saltcoats (free admission)
We are partnering with Kirkgate church to show the film, A beautiful day in the neighbourhood. This Tom Hanks movie helps us the audience think about life’s big questions. Bring someone you have been praying for during Thy Kingdom Come to watch the movie with you, who knows what conversations it will provoke.
Day Pilgrimage to Sannox Centre, Arran:
Saturday 4th June 10.00am meeting at the Glasgow Street, Ardrossan, Garden of Remembrance. £8.00 Lunch included. Please let Ish Lennox know of signups.
Church Open Day – Sat 30th April
We are holding an Open Day in the church on Saturday 30th April from 12 noon – 2pm, where you can pop in and have a look at our lovely new refurbished sanctuary. All welcome.
Holy Week Services
Note that Good Friday’s ecumenical service is in St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Ardrossan at 7pm, and not the EU Congregational Church as is printed in the Kirkgate Messenger.
World Day of Prayer
Join us in person or online at 2pm this afternoon (Friday 4th March), when Kirkgate will be hosting the World Day of Prayer service on behalf of the Saltcoats’ churches.
Church of Scotland – Pentecost Service – 31st May
On Sunday 31st May, the new Moderator of the Church of Scotland, Rt Rev Martin Fair is hosting a special service which includes worship, prayers, music, a sermon, Bible readings, and closes with the Moderator’s wife Mrs Elaine Fair singing The Blessing.
The Moderator is encouraging congregations and people of faith across Scotland, and beyond, to join together in worship as a whole church. The service can be viewed on the Church of Scotland website from 10am. It will also be streamed on the West Kilbride Parish Church live feed from 10.30am.
Christmas Fair
Many thanks to everyone who supported our Christmas Fair, whether by helping at it, providing goods or donations, or simply attending. So far, over £2,400 has been raised – a magnificent effort.
Our Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday 7th December, from 11am – 2pm in the church halls. Please come along and support it.
Christmas Fair
Our Christmas Fair was a great success and so far has raised over £2,630. A huge thank you to all who supported it. Below are a selection of photos taken throughout the day. We are extremely grateful to Santa and his elf for taking time out of their very busy schedule to come and pay us a visit and get their photos taken with most of the stallholders!
Coffee and Cards
Our craft team have been hard at work and will be holding a Coffee and Cards morning on Saturday 3rd November from 10am – 12 noon. A wide range of Christmas Cards and other greetings cards will be available. Orders also being taken for any personalised cards.
Christmas Tree Festival – Sat 16 December
Our Craft Team are once again organising a Christmas Tree Festival on Saturday 16th December from 10am in the church. Individuals and organisations associated with the church will be decorating the trees which will be based on a theme of “Christmas Carols”.
At 3pm, there will be short Shoppers’ Carol Service to round the day off. This is also an ideal opportunity to come along and admire our new stained glass windows.
