Intimations – w/c 23rd January 2022

1.     Our Sunday Service is held at 10.45am and is also available online live via YouTube with a recording available afterwards on the website, Twilio phone service (01294 444201) and podcasting channels. It is still necessary to reserve your seat in advance by contacting Mima McSwan on 01294 602410, and it is still equally important to let Mima know if your plans change and you will not be coming as there may be a waiting list for other folk wishing to attend. The midweek Thursday service continues at 10.30am with seat reservations still required.

2.     On Sunday 30th January we will celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism for David Macleod. Additionally, we will then admit David Macleod and Katy Flanigan as members of the congregation.

3.     Articles for the February edition of the Kirkgate Messenger are needed by next Sunday 30th January please. If anyone has still to give their £9 donation towards their postal copies, then please forward it as soon as possible to Elizabeth McMahon. Additionally, if you would like to be added to the postal list, please speak to Stuart or Elizabeth. We also have a few spaces available for some new advertisers in the magazine – if you know of anyone, maybe one of your frequently used shops or businesses, then please let Stuart or Elizabeth know as well. Prices start from just £40 for a year – that’s under £4.50 per issue!

4.     The Kirk Session will meet on Thursday 10th February at 7.30pm. Details will be sent out with the papers as to whether it will be held in person or via Zoom.

5.     The Craft Team and Country Dancing aren’t meeting until further notice due to COVID restrictions.

6.     The Care and Share lunch for the homeless, run in conjunction with CHANA, is held in the hall every Friday from 12 noon – 2pm.

7.     Finally, a reminder that our Sunday services (and others such as funerals as required) are live streamed. Generally only the front row and chancel area will be in view at present. We have a GDPR consent form available – thank you to everyone who has already completed it. If you haven’t completed one, or have any concerns about appearing in the live stream, please speak to the Session Clerk or Stuart McMahon.
