Intimations – Sunday 10th January, 2021

1. Due to the new COVID restrictions announced by the Scottish Government, we are once again no longer allowed to hold worship services in the church until further notice. Pre-recorded services will be published on the website and phone service as normal.
2. A reminder that there will be a Kirk Session meeting via Zoom on Thursday 14^th January at 7.30pm. Elders should have received an agenda by email or post and all committee convenors are reminded to provide a report.
3. Another reminder that if you wish to receive a printed copy of the Kirkgate Messenger, then starting from the February edition it will only be available by post or email and we are asking for a small donation of £9/year to cover the cost of postage. A letter and return form was sent to every member along with the church’s Christmas Card and calendar. If you wish to receive a printed copy of the magazine, then please return the form with your payment, or contact Elizabeth McMahon on 464428, before January 21^st. Ongoing Covid restrictions mean that we are unable to hand deliver the magazines like we used to do. It will still be emailed out to members for whom we hold an email address, and it will be available as a download on our website.
4. Articles for the next Kirkgate Messenger are required by Sunday 31^st That is the same date if you wish a request in the February edition of the Kirkgate: By Request programme.
5. Sadly, we have to intimate the death of one of our members, Mrs Agnes Cook, who latterly was a resident in Abbotsford Nursing Home. Agnes’ funeral will take place on Tuesday 12^th January at Ardrossan cemetery at 2pm and will be conducted by Mr Andrew Bruce. Please remember the family and friends of Agnes in your prayers.
6. This week’s Sunday service will once again be taken by Mr Andrew Bruce whilst Nigel takes Paternity Leave following the birth of baby Dylan. God willing, Nigel will be back with us next Sunday.
