Intimations for Sunday 25th October:This Sunday, 25th October, is the last day for any items for the next Kirkgate Messenger – contact Elizabeth McMahon if you have anything you wish to include.
Requests or dedications for the next Kirkgate: By Request programme should be sent to Stuart by next Sunday please (1st November) at requests@kirkgatechurch.org.uk – the next show will be broadcast on Remembrance Sunday, 8th November.
A reminder that shoeboxes for this year’s Blythswood Appeal need to be donated no later than next Sunday (1st November) as they will be dedicated next Sunday’s service and uplifted in early November. For more info, or if you need anything uplifted, please contact Maureen Hunter on 01294 464969. To date, over 200 boxes have been donated which is fantastic.
And finally, subject to the approval of Presbytery which meets on 3rd November, it is hoped that the induction of our new minister Rev Nigel Chikanya will take place in Kirkgate on Thursday 19th November.
As is tradition, it is customary for the congregation to provide a gift for the new minister, as well as the outgoing locum and Interim Moderator. To that end, if you would like to contribute a monetary donation, the church hall will be open to receive your donations on
Thursday 5th November from 10am – 11.30am;
Saturday 7th November from 10am – 12 noon;
and Sunday 8th November from 10am – 12.30pm.

Please mark your envelopes clearly with either ‘New Minister’, ‘Interim Moderator’ or ‘Locum’ so that we can easily allocate the donations. Cheques should be made payable to Kirkgate Parish Church. Alternatively donations can be delivered or posted to the Session Clerk, Vivien Bruce, 57 Dockers Gardens, Ardrossan, KA22 8GB to arrive by Saturday 7th November at the latest.
