Intimations – 20th December 2020
This Sunday we are hoping to broadcast our service as a live video feed from the church hall, as opposed to the regular audio-only feed. The morning service at 10.30am, the ‘Blue Christmas’ service at 2pm and the Christmas Eve service at 2pm should all be available as a live video at https://kirkgatechurch.org.uk/live-video/ with a recording of the services available to view on the website shortly afterwards.
Once again this year we will be holding a “Blue Christmas” service offering a time of quiet reflection for those who have been bereaved or missing loved ones. The service will be held on Sunday 20th December at 2pm in the church hall, and as mentioned above will be streamed live via the website.
As Christmas Eve is on a Thursday this year, there won’t be a midweek morning service on 24th December. Instead we will be holding a Christmas Eve service at 2pm (and 4pm if required for extra numbers). All welcome to attend but please contact Mima as usual to reserve your seat.
Next Sunday, 27th December, there will be no live service either in the hall or online. Instead, we will be broadcasting a special service recorded by the Moderator of the Church of Scotland Rt Rev Dr Martin Fair.
A reminder that the Christmas edition of the Kirkgate: By Request programme is now available to listen to on the website, phone service or podcasting sites if you haven’t already done so.
Freewill offering envelopes are now available for uplifting when the hall is open on Sundays and Thursdays. If anyone can uplift and deliver a friend’s or neighbour’s envelopes this would be appreciated. The remainder will be delivered before Christmas and if anyone has any questions please contact Moira Cooper on 468851.
Sadly, several of our members have passed away recently. As numbers are still restricted for funeral services the families have shared the online streaming details for the services so that friends may watch from home.
