SCAM Emails

Earlier today, Wednesday 30 September, a rogue account appears to have gained limited access to the church roll database. The vulnerability has now been secured. Several members have reported receiving unusual and SCAM emails apparently from our minister, Rev Nigel Chikanya. The address used to send the emails is ficticious, and when replied to the response was asking the recipient to buy gift cards.

Please be alert over the coming days and weeks of suspicious emails or calls purporting to be from the minister or church members, and check the sender’s address against a correct one which you may have in your personal address books. If you do receive any, please delete the emails and do not respond to them. We will never ask for money or request the purchase of unlikely goods over email.
