Intimations – w/c Sunday 5th December 2021
1. Our Sunday Service is held at 10.45am and is also available online live via YouTube with a recording available afterwards on the website, Twilio phone service (01294 444201) and podcasting channels. It is still necessary to reserve your seat in advance by contacting Mima McSwan on 01294 602410, and it is equally important to let Mima know if your plans change and you will not be coming as there may be a waiting list for other folk wishing to attend.
2. The midweek Thursday service continues at 10.30am with seat reservations still required by phoning Mima.
3. This Sunday, 5th December, we will be celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion. It will also be our Christmas Gift service. Please bring along any unwrapped gifts which will then be given to the “Night Before Christmas” project – details about the work they do are in the church magazine.
4. The Prayer Group will meet at the close of next week’s service.
5. Our informal Zoom chat session is now held on the first Tuesday of every month between 10.30 and 11.30am. The next session will be on Tuesday 7th December. For those without internet access you can also dial in to the chat session on your phone – all the joining details are on the website and in the Messenger.
6. Unfortunately, our proposed Christmas Tree Festival will not be taking place next weekend as the works in the church are unlikely to be completed in time. Keep an eye on our website and facebook page though for details of our first service back in the church.
7. As things are still difficult, it has been decided not to have a Christmas Fair this year. Instead, we would be very grateful for any monetary donations for the amount you normally have spent at the Fair. If you are able, could you please put your donation in an envelope and mark it “Christmas Fair” and if applicable, please also mark the envelope with “Gift Aid”, and either put it in the offering plate or give it to Jean Rainey or any of the fundraising committee.
8. The next meeting of The Guild will be a Christmas afternoon on Monday 13th December at 2pm. All are welcome to come along and join in the fun.
9. North Ayrshire Guilds Together will be holding a Christmas Rally in St Cuthbert’s Church, Saltcoats on Friday 10th December at 2pm. All welcome to attend.
10. The Craft Team is now meeting every Tuesday afternoon between 1pm and 3pm in the church hall.
11. The new Freewill Offering envelopes are available to uplift from the hall at the end of the service. It would also be helpful if you could take any that belong to some friends or neighbours.
12. The Care and Share lunch for the homeless, run in conjunction with CHANA, is held in the hall every Friday from 12 noon – 2pm.
These are all this week’s intimations.
