Intimations – w/c 2nd October 2022

1. Our Sunday Service is held at 10.45am and is also available online live via YouTube with a recording available afterwards on the website, Twilio phone service (01294 444201) and podcasting channels. Sunday School available for young people. The midweek Thursday service is held every week at 10.30am. This week’s Sunday service will be taken by Rev Ross Mitchell as Nigel is unwell.
2. The Pastoral Care Committee will meet on Monday 3^rd October at 10.30am.
3. Donations of goods or finance for the Blythswood shoebox appeal can now be brought to the church. Packing is now well underway. We have lots of lovely knitted goods for the shoeboxes but never enough toothpaste or soap. Completed shoeboxes should be brought to the church by 30^th October when they will be dedicated during the morning service.
4. Harvest Thanksgiving will be held on Sunday 23^rd October, which is slightly later than we’d normally have it. Our designated project for harvest gifts this year is the Argyle Community Shop. Please put your donation in an envelope marked “Harvest” and place it in the collection plate on a Sunday.
5. We’ll be having a Rag Bag collection at the start of October. Any filled black bags should be brought to the church on Sunday 16th October at latest.
6. We’ll be holding a Fashion Show, presented by The Dressing Room, on Friday 14th October at 7.30pm. Tickets now available.
7. The rescheduled Guild Annual Gathering is now taking place in Edinburgh on Saturday 8^th October. We’ll be live-streaming the event in Kirkgate – the church will be open from 10am, with the gathering starting at 10.30pm, and running through till around 3pm. There will be a break for lunch. Anyone is welcome to come along to watch the live-stream and to come and go throughout it as required – you don’t have to stay for the full duration.
8. The Craft Team meets every Tuesday from 1pm and the Care and Share lunch run in conjunction with CHANA, is held in the hall every Friday from 12.30pm – 2pm.
