Intimations w/c 21st February 2021
1. Firstly a reminder that all are welcome to join our Sunday service via Zoom at 10.30am – joining details are shown in the right hand column opposite, and that it should also be available to watch live via YouTube, with a recording of it available shortly afterwards here on the website and YouTube.
2. Another reminder that on Tuesday and Wednesday every week, we are holding some informal Zoom chat sessions between 10.30 and 11.30am. You don’t need to stay for the full hour – just pop by and say hello to anyone that’s there, whilst enjoying your morning coffee! Joining details are on the website and in the magazine including the dial-in number and meeting ID and passcode.
3. Something new – The February edition of the Kirkgate Messenger is now available as an audiobook – an audio-only file that can be listened to via the website, the main podcasting sites and our Twilio phone service, 01924 444201 and selecting option 3.
4. Articles for the next Kirkgate Messenger should be sent to the editor Elizabeth McMahon, elizabeth.mcmahon@talktalk.net by next Sunday please.
5. If you’d like a request or dedication in the next Kirkgate By Request programme, they should be sent to Stuart McMahon also by next Sunday please at requests@kirkgatechurch.org.uk or by phoning 603848. So far, I haven’t received anything for the programme, so plenty of space!
6. The Prayer Group will be recommencing a short monthly meeting on Zoom after the morning service on the first Sunday of every month. The first meeting will be held on Sunday 7th March. Please take this opportunity to join us for the morning service and prayer meeting on Zoom.
7. This year’s World Day of Prayer, which should have been held in St Andrew’s Episcopal Church, won’t be taking place. Instead there is a live Zoom service on 5th March at 2pm from Edinburgh which anyone can join by going to www.zoom.us and entering the meeting ID 895 9398 3883, and the passcode is 901 656. You can also dial in by phone on 0131 460 1196 and entering the same meeting details. These details also appear in the Kirkgate Messenger.
